What is your formula? My “formula” is to train and run/workout by staying safe, healthy and most importantly, injury free. Having Formula Running Center (FRC) assist me with these goals has been a game changer for me in preparing for my upcoming goals.
Why did you start running? I started to distance run when I moved from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the Washington, DC area. I would commute to and from work seeing so many people out on the mall running and truly thought, “what a great way to get to meet people and see the wonderful history of the city.”
Favorite quote? “Never, Never, Never, Give Up Hope!” – Winston Churchill
What are your hobbies? As an adult with brain cancer, my hobby for the last 15 years has been to advocate for pediatric cancer children. I have personally raised over $1 million dollars in these efforts and will continue to do so till I am no longer able. I also enjoy group workouts, history, art, music (wide variety) and spending quality time with my family and friends.
Favorite workout tunes/music? I have a variety of workout tunes on my music line-up from AC/DC, Queen, to James Taylor, Andrea Day, Florence and the Machine and Andrea Bocelli
Do you have any races lined up in 2020? Goals for 2020? Yes. I will be running the Harrisburg Marathon (Enders Insurance) on Saturday, November 7th in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. My goal is to finish this marathon strong and healthy. Next year I hope to once again qualify for the Boston Marathon.
What has been your favorite part of being a member at FRC? My favorite part of FRC is the comradery. Coaches encourage you and those participating all support each other. I have been running injury free and stronger since I joined months ago. I look forward to the day that I get to come into the studio, take a class, and thank everyone in person for making me feel like I am a part of the FRC family!
